Dr. David Maggs works examines a client's cat in the Ophthalmology Service at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Maggs He is an author of Slatter’s Fundamentals of Veterinary Ophthalmology and president of the International Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. Maggs is a professor in the Surgical and Radiological Sciences department and his special interests include ocular surface disease, particularly feline herpesvirus infection and tear film disorders. The Ophthalmology Service offers advanced diagnostics, as well as routine, complex and emergency medical and surgical care to all patients with a variety of ocular disorders.
