Chickens being examined by the Veterinary Emergency Response Team (VERT) that were evacuated from the LNU Lightning Complex Fires and brought to the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds. The medical examinations of the birds was led by Dr. Michelle Hawkins of the Companion Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery Service (CAPES) at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
